The Wickedly Branded Gathering

The Gathering

Because some books are better when they become a conversation.

Less like a book club meeting. More like an evening in Oz.

You can read Wickedly Branded on your own, or invite a few women over, put something delicious on the table, and see what happens when women with stories start talking about what they are recognizing, claiming, and becoming.

Consider this your invitation.

Make the gathering beautiful, playful, and entirely yours. Emeralds and poppies are welcome. Ruby-red treats are encouraged. A tornado centerpiece remains completely optional.

01

Who

Invite women willing to go beyond “Did you like the book?”

The richest conversations come from women ready to talk about what they recognize in themselves and what they may be ready to claim.

02

Where

Kitchen island, dining room, café, sofas.

You do not need a perfectly styled dinner party. Choose a place where people can settle in and actually talk.

03

When

After the whole book, or section by section.

Move through RECOGNIZE → CLAIM → BE SEEN → LEAD together, or gather once everyone reaches the end.

04

How Long

About two hours.

Enough time for food, drinks, laughter, honesty, and one or two thoughts that follow everyone home.

05

The Rule

Do not make it so productive that someone needs a spreadsheet.

Gather your people. Skip the performance.

There’s No Place Like Your Table

The point is connection. Nobody needs a dinner party worthy of its own project manager.

Four women around a kitchen island count. So do twelve around a dining table, friends in the back room of a favorite café, or appetizer plates balanced on knees.

Give yourselves about two hours. Leave room for the conversation to wander.

01 - Set The Table

Follow the journey. Let the table wander.

03 · Pour Something

04 · Start Talking

this is the point

Follow The Yellow Brick Road To The Snack Table

We are going to have some fun here.

The food can nod to Oz without turning the evening into a theme restaurant. Keep it grown-up, playful, and easy to share.

Every gathering needs a signature pour.

Something Wicked This Way Pours

Offer a cocktail and a zero-proof version with the same care. Mocktails should never be punished with inferior glassware.

Set The Scene

Oz grew up, built a successful business, and developed excellent taste.

Start with Wickedly Branded navy and cream, then layer in emerald, ruby, shimmering gold, and small touches of rainbow color.

Gold

Atmosphere, not costume.

Let the book’s architecture become part of the room.

Candles, greenery, flowers, glassware, gold stars, books, and one excellent pair of red shoes can do more than a room full of character cutouts.

Run a gold ribbon or thread down the table as the Shimmering Thread.

Add small cards reading RECOGNIZE, CLAIM, BE SEEN, and LEAD.

If delight is reason enough, create one gloriously unnecessary yellow-brick path.

Follow the journey. Let the table wander

The Conversation

Choose two or three questions per section instead of racing through every prompt. There is no prize for completing the worksheet.

WELCOME

What brought you to this table tonight?

RECOGNIZE

What did the book help you recognize that had been hiding in plain sight?

Where can you see a Shimmering Thread running through experiences you once thought were unrelated?

What is taking up more of your attention than it deserves?

CLAIM

What have you continued because you can handle it rather than because you still want it?

Where are you ready for a Sacred No?

What do you want more room for now?

BE SEEN

What do you know now that you have earned the right to say more clearly?

Where does the public version of you still describe the woman you were five years ago?

What do the women at this table see in you that you may be underestimating?

LEAD

Who becomes more capable because you share what you know?

What do you want to make easier for the woman coming behind you?

What would you like to exist because you were here?

A Little Magic Before You Go

I SEE THIS IN YOU. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I SEE THIS IN YOU. _________________________________________________________________________

Evidence from women who paid attention.

End with something worth taking home.

Give everyone a card for one sentence they are taking with them. Then pass a second card around the table so each woman can add a word, strength, quality, contribution, or perspective she sees in that person.

No seven-goal action plan. No transformation deadline by next Tuesday. Just a little more evidence of what was already there.

Make hosting easier.

Before you click your heels…

Gather your people.

The best gathering does not end with everyone agreeing about the book. It ends with women knowing one another, and perhaps themselves, a little differently because of what was said around the table.
